# Slack messages and emails, turned into tasks

What you promised and what you were asked, in every chat, email and call, on one list. Each task links to the message it came from and closes when you deliver.

## Every ask and promise, caught

### Your promises.

“I’ll send it tomorrow” in Slack becomes a task due tomorrow, linked to the message.

### Their asks.

“Can you sign the contract by Friday?” in an email becomes a task due Friday.

### From your calls.

“I’ll get you the numbers after this” on a call becomes a task when the call ends.

### Closed for you.

When you send what you promised, the task crosses itself off.

## Questions

### Can Slack or email create to-do tasks automatically?

Not on their own. Slack has reminders and Gmail has stars, but neither writes a list. Sharpy reads both and writes one list from them, each task linked to its message.

### Which apps does it read?

Slack, Gmail, Outlook, Google Calendar, Linear, GitHub, Jira, Asana and Todoist through their own sign-in, plus the text of any app on your screen.

### Does it send the follow-up for me?

Only if you ask and approve. Sharpy can draft it in any text field, or write it from the chat, and shows the exact message before anything is sent.
