# How Sharpy writes your list

Sharpy reads what is already on your Mac, writes one list from it, closes what you finish and proposes the order of your day. You never write a prompt.

Free in early access. macOS 14 or later, Apple silicon.

Step 1

## It reads what you already have

### Your screen

The text in the apps you use, through macOS Accessibility. No screenshots, no video.

### Your tools

Gmail, Slack, Google Calendar, Linear, GitHub, Jira, Asana and Todoist, one sign-in each.

### Your calendars

The calendars on this Mac and your Google Calendar, so the list knows your calls.

### Your calls

Transcripts from Zoom, Meet, Teams and Slack huddles become tasks.

### Never

Passwords, banking, logins and private windows.

Step 2

## It writes one list

### One task per thing.

A Slack message and an email about the same thing become one task, with a quote from each.

### Done leaves on its own.

A sent reply or a merged pull request closes the task. When Sharpy isn’t sure, it asks.

### Stale gets a nudge.

A task that stops moving offers to move to next week or drop.

### Your other lists come in.

Todoist, Linear, Jira and Asana tasks join the same list. Done in one place is done in both.

Step 3

## It plans the day with you

### A plan each morning.

Sharpy proposes today’s tasks in order and asks where to start. Change it in a sentence.

### Calls on the list.

Today’s calls sit with your tasks, with the link to join.

### A warning before each call.

A few minutes before it starts, Sharpy says so, with Join.

### Overlaps sorted.

Two calls at once? Pick one to move and a free slot. Sharpy shows the exact change and the email, and does nothing until you press Move and send.

Step 4

## It drafts, you decide

### In any text field

Tap the right ⌥, and Sharpy drafts the reply in your tone.

### In the chat

Ask Sharpy to reply to an email or file an issue in Linear. It shows exactly what it will send, and does it only when you press the button.

### Nothing on its own

Sharpy never sends a message or changes an app without your yes.

Step 5

## It learns from your marks

### “Not a task”

Removes it and teaches the filter.

### A sentence

“Move the deck to Friday” or “what’s next?” in the island does it. No settings to learn.

## The first five minutes

- Open Sharpy. The first screen says what it reads and what it never reads.
- Sign in with Google.
- Allow Accessibility. Sharpy moves on by itself when it’s on.
- Connect the apps you use, Slack and Gmail first.
- Your list fills in. Double-tap ⌥ and ask what’s next.

## Questions

### Can an AI see what’s on my screen?

Sharpy reads the text of the apps on your screen through macOS Accessibility, the same channel screen readers use. It takes no screenshots or video, and you can leave out any app, site or window.

### Do I have to set anything up?

No rules and no prompts. You sign in, allow Accessibility and connect the apps you use. Sharpy starts writing the list from there.

### Does it need my email password?

No. Gmail, Slack and the other tools connect through their own sign-in pages, and you can disconnect any of them.

### Can I add tasks myself?

Yes. Type in the field at the bottom of the list, or tell the island.

### What happens when I close the window?

Nothing changes. The island and the menu bar keep running.
