A list that keeps itself current.
-
Every promise becomes a task.
Write “I’ll send the deck tomorrow” in Slack, and it’s on your list, due tomorrow.
-
Done crosses itself off.
A sent reply or a merged pull request closes the task. When Sharpy isn’t sure, it asks.
-
Stale tasks ask to go.
A task that hasn’t moved for a week asks: drop it, or move it to next week?
-
Talk to it from any window.
Double-tap ⌥, and the island opens. Change the plan in a sentence.

You never write a prompt. Sharpy speaks first, and you say yes or no.
Your history stays on your Mac.
You can erase it any time. To write your list, Sharpy sends the relevant text to cloud AI models. Passwords, banking and private windows are never saved.
Your agents get the list too.
Claude Code, Cursor and ChatGPT can read your list and mark tasks done, through MCP.

Questions
Something else? hello@getsharpy.com
Where do the tasks come from?
Your mail, chats, calendar, calls and the text on your screen, plus the tools you connect. Each task links to the message it came from.
Is there an app that turns Slack messages and emails into tasks automatically?
Yes, Sharpy. It reads Slack, Gmail and the other apps on your Mac, and turns asks and promises into tasks with a link to the message. When you send the reply, the task crosses itself off.
Will it send messages for me?
Only when you say yes. Sharpy drafts replies, and before it sends a message or changes a calendar event it shows you the exact change and waits for your button.
Does it watch my screen?
It reads the text in the apps on your screen, through macOS Accessibility, so it finds tasks in any app. It takes no screenshots or video. Leave out any app, site or window. Passwords, banking, logins and private windows are never saved.
What leaves my Mac?
Your history is stored on your Mac, and you can erase it any time. To build your list, Sharpy sends the relevant text to cloud AI models. Card numbers, keys, phone numbers and codes are masked first.
What will it cost?
Nothing during early access. If that ever changes, you’ll hear from us before anything costs money.
What if it adds something that isn’t a task?
Mark it “Not a task”, and it’s gone. Sharpy learns from every mark. When it can’t tell whether something is done, it asks you.
Do I have to leave Todoist or Linear?
No. Todoist and Linear come into the same list, and a task you finish in either place is done in both.
Does it work on Windows or my phone?
Sharpy runs on Macs with Apple silicon and macOS 14 or later. On your phone? Join here, and the Mac link arrives in your inbox. On Windows or Linux, we’ll email you when it’s ready.
When can I try it?
Now, on a Mac: download Sharpy, drag it into Applications and open it. Windows is on the way; join the Windows waitlist and we’ll email you when it’s ready.
